ARC Architects was founded in 1996 by Mark Armstrong and Paul Rudolph, with a hands-on approach providing design solutions to a myriad of projects, ranging from individually responsive residential design work to large scale multi-unit residential developments, industrial complexes and integrated commercial design and master planning.
Having direct input into all projects has enabled the firm to maintain a high level of client satisfaction and project delivery.
Large scale mixed-use projects include the Metro at Botany Road – Queen Street where the design and construction of 305 apartments used innovative precast concrete techniques which have since been used extensively in the apartment development market. The project was awarded the Housing Industry Association Award for Innovative Design, as well as a Master Builders Award for new construction techniques and design.
Winning the design competition for the Bigge St Liverpool residential development for 218 apartments, lead to on-going work with the client and development work for Housing NSW
A similar relationship was established with GPT at Rouse Hill, where both retail and residential master-planning and design skills were harnessed in successive projects.
Individual houses provide both the client and ourselves the opportunity for the physical manifestation of the feelings of home, shelter, and security. The close relationship necessary to reach a life enhancing result has led to the development of many friendships which far outlast the completion of the project.
The architectural approach is based on the simple rational understanding and interpretation of the requirements of the client, assessing the opportunities of the site and the brief, and designing a considered response which incorporates technology, sustainability and of course delight.
